The Yellow taxi cab company is an United States company, and is international. It began in the United States in New York City. The colors of the Yellow Cab Taxi is the common color of yellow, because the high visibility and it's ability to see that color from a distance. The color that was selected, also because the wife of one of the early owners thought that the color was popular and looked nice.

The color was then selected for all of their taxi cab automobiles. The country of Australia is home to the Yellow Cab Group. Their is a slight difference in the cab's coloration. It contains an orange, as well as yellow. This coloration is due to the fact and the placement of the company name being displayed in red against the other company color yellow. These color schemes were later mixed and combined to form another color that is used to form the Australian Yellow Cab Group company patented orange. There is another intercontinental Yellow Taxi Cab company in the country of Canada. It still has the Yellow Cab Company name. The Yellow Cab Company group is located in Edmonton, in Alberta,Vancouver, in British Columbia, and Toronto.

The different taxi cabs, although, they are different in color. It is a simple distinction that is minute, and a minimal effect on the recognizability status of the customers recognizing the desired cab.
