Some people say that imitation is the finest from of flattery. This company that began in New York City in the beginning of the century still thrives today all across America. The recognizable checker cab design and bright yellow coloration are the most noticeable characteristics of the Yellow Taxicab design and company popular factors that propel its success. It should be noted and reported to cab enthusiasts correctly that the color yellow was selected after a company wide selection process that included a direct input from one of the divisional presidents.

The color yellow was selected as the main color, because of its ease of recognizably from the farthest distance. All of the owners of the company Yellow Taxicab company and it affiliates have been with persons that were former cab operators them selves. They were in every major American city by the early opening part of the century. There was only one other company that used the color yellow and logo, this company was an offshoot of the original Yellow Cab Taxi. This company was Hertz Rent A Car. In the later more industrious years when American cities grew in population, other cities in the America gained the popular Yellow Cab taxi service.

The main one in addition to New York City was the city of Chicago, Illinois. In these two cities alone there are over thirteen thousand Yellow Cab Taxis in operation today ready to deliver transportation customers happily to their destination any time of day or night.
